You Can Have Instant Confidence.

If you can dream you can easily acquire instant confidence!

A bold statement to make you may say? But it happens to be true.

To explain how you can have this instant confidence, you firstly need to know that your subconscious mind always works for your benefit. If it thinks that you want to feel down and depressed (because you are thinking negatively), then it will work as best it can so you always get what you ‘want’ (a not so good day). This could be just a strange/funny feeling in your stomach, or episodes of clumsiness, etc? You get the idea?

On the other hand, if you think positively the majority of the time, you’ll also get what you ‘want’ (maybe happy/euphoric feelings throughout your whole body?).

The above are just simple examples of how your subconscious mind works. To crank this up to the ‘instant confidence’ level, all we need to do is to introduce self-hypnosis into the equation!

And what is self-hypnosis? The easiest way to describe it, is as daydreaming. Everybody daydreams. Daydreaming is safe and natural, and so is self-hypnosis.

Take yourself away to a quiet spot where you can be safe and comfortable for about 15 minutes. Lying in bed at night would be ideal, although sitting in a comfortable chair during the day is equally fine.

Take a long, slow, deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your eyes to gently close. Every time you breath in, say to yourself the word, “Calm”, and every time you exhale, say to yourself the word, “Relaxed”. Continue this for a couple of minutes.

When you are feeling suitably relaxed, and breathing slowly and easily, then picture yourself at the top of staircase of 10 steps. Starting at number 10, say that number to yourself and imagine as vividly as you can stepping down on to that step as you exhale. Really see and feel yourself stepping down. As you do this, just let yourself drift deeper down with each step you take.

Repeat every 30 seconds or so from step 9 down to step 1. You will now be feeling more relaxed than you have for a long time, and now is the time for you to start thinking positive thoughts related to everything you want to achieve.

Spend as long or as little as you like, imagining and experiencing everything you want to be. Make it all as realistic as you can. It must be positive thoughts. If you can use as many of your five senses as possible (feel, see, touch, taste and smell), then the whole experience will be more life-like to your subconscious mind.

And as your subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between imagination and reality, then it will think this is the new you, and so it will work constantly to help you to be more like that. You get what you wish for!

As with everything, the more you practise, the better you will become, and soon you will be able to enter a state of deep relaxation in only a minute or two. If you practise this each and every day, you will find your new instant confidence will just “be there” in your normal everyday life.
